Manama, May 19 (BNA) -- A study released by the Bahrain Centre for Strategic and International Studies and Energy (BCSISE), prepared by Dr. Bashir Zine El Abidine titled ' the Arabian Gulf and the Dimensions of the Naming ', that the Iranian stance in regard to naming ' Arabian Gulf ', raises strong controversies in the media, and that this stance insists on stamping the Arabian Gulf’s identity with the Persian identity to include national and political extents that aim to achieve regional hegemony. |

(BNA) -- "The Bahraini Women in the Era of Hamad", published by the Supreme Council for Women in 2008, tackled women's social rights during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's prosperous era, shedding light on women's right to education, health care, sports participation and housing, as well as other needs, including granting citizenship for children of Bahraini women married to foreigners, the rights of the divorced, protection of women from violence and the issuance of the Family Law. |

Manama: April 22 --(BNA)-- The Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyib, has concluded today a two-day courtesy visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain with an a considerably significant meeting he had with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, citing a series of noble stances on the part of Al-Azhar's Grand Imam since he has assumed office in supporting and backing the Kingdom of Bahrain and defending its Arabism and stability. On numerous occasions, he had expressed firm stances and keenness on the Kingdom of Bahrain's stability, supporting its reforms, encouraging the success of its ongoing national consensus dialogue as the leeway towards its advancement, progress and further reformation.

Manama: April 16 (BNA) The Kingdom of Bahrain has finalized all preparations ahead of hosting the fourth round of the Bahrain Grand Prix for Formula One 2013 for the Middle East and associated GP2 competitions in the period 19-21 April 2013. The Bahrain Grand Prix Motorsport Championship began 9 years ago (in 2004). Formula One is a flagship sports event which attracts teams, fans and spectators from all over the world. |

Manama, Mar 31 (BNA): The American response to the failed Bahrain edition of the Arab Spring was the result of biased media reporting and the failure of the congressmen and political pundits to see the facts on the ground as they were, the US Congressman Dan Burton told the Bahrain News Agency on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of the Bahrain International Symposium organized by the University of Bahrain. The media then talked to radical elements in the country and painted a picture of government repression without talking about the fire balls being thrown at innocent victims. |

IIB records $8.2m net and plans to turn grey |

Manama, Mar 28 (BNA) -- Bahrain-based International Investment Bank (IIB), a globally focused investment bank reported a net profit of $8.2 million for year ending 2012. The bank, however, never declared a dividend. Aabed Al Zeera, the Chief Executive Officer of the bank told the Bahrain News Agency that no dividend was declared despite the net profit, because in 2011 the bank’s turnover took a hit of $9.4 million. |
