Jewellery Arabia 2011 onto greater heights says minister
Manama, Nov. 23 (BNA) -- Jewellery Arabia 2011 is as large as the 2008 and 2009 edition and it is pleasant to see the growing number of participants and the enhanced quality of exhibitors, said Bahrain's Minister for Commerce and Industry. Dr Hassan Fakhro, Bahrain's Minister for Commerce and Industry, told the Bahrain News Agency, "We hope the number of visitors will also replicate figures in 2009 and 2009. Year 2010 was a record and is difficult to match."

Bahrain committed to highest international standards
London: Nov. 21 -- (BNA) The undersecretary for seaports affairs in the Ministry of Finance a.k.a. chairman of the General Organization of Seaports Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa reiterated the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to adopting and implementing highest international standards and specifications applicable in the transportation and maritime navigation, and emphasized that the Kingdom of Bahrain has always been keen on being one of the major regional ports, an attractive hub for re-export, transit and shipping in the region and has committed itself to the significant role of reinforcement and development of its seaports infrastructures, facilities and logistics commensurate with its historic legacy and in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 which comprise et alia international class infrastructures that link Bahrain to world economy.

BICI is expected to report its findings on Wednesday
Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA) -- People were yesterday urged to respect the outcome of the report by Bahrain Independent Commission of Inquiry (BICI), irrespective of its findings. His Majesty King Hamad’s Adviser for Media Affairs and Chairman of Bahrain Institute for Political Development (BIPD) Board of Trustees Nabeel bin Yacob Alhamer assured the Kuwaiti Ambassador Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah that the report will be respected. He said that the government will abide by the recommendations made by BICI.

Four Seasons Hotel at Bahrain Bay set to stimulate Bahrain economy
Manama, Oct. 30. (BNA) -- Bahrain Bay, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s highest-profile, master-planned $2.5 billion waterfront community, has awarded the main contract for the construction of the iconic Four Seasons Hotel to Belgian-based Six Construct. This selection signals the beginning of Phase Two of the project, which includes the podium and tower construction. Work will begin on 30 November, 2011 with a target construction completion date of April 2014.
