GCC Chief attends Rhodes III Conference

Athens, June 21 (BNA): Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani participated today in the Rhodes III Conference on Security and Stability in the Eastern Mediterranean, organized by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of delegations representing Mediterranean countries, the European Union and several Arab countries.
The conference was opened by the Greek Foreign Minister Nikolaos Kotzias, in which he stressed the importance of holding the third conference for security and stability in the eastern Mediterranean.

He said that the conference aims to reach a constructive strategy to strengthen and develop relations and establish security and stability in the Middle East.

Dr. Al-Zayani delivered a speech in which he expressed his deep appreciation to the Greek Foreign Ministry for its initiative to hold the conference, stressing the importance of the topics it addresses. He said that the challenges facing the countries of the world today are similar, stressing the importance of communication and enhancing mutual trust to achieve international cooperation in this field.
