Manama, June 14 (BNA): The Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs has hailed the Royal Order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to establish a dedicated Islamic Studies College to teach Quran sciences, Sharia judiciary, as well as Islamic and comparative jurisprudence.

The council said in its statement issued on Thursday that this Royal Order mirrors His Majesty keen interest in serving Islam and the Holy Quran, promoting alumni of Sharia and Islamic Studies as part of His Majesty’s patronage and support of religious studies in the prosperous era of His Majesty.

The council praised naming the new college after the late HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa in recognition of his multifarious contributions and efforts in serving religion, preaching, reforms and guidance as well as his role in enriching Bahrain’s judiciary progress and development of various religious sectors in addition to numerous humanitarian, charitable, cultural and historic fields.

The council said this Royal Order reaffirms His Majesty’s customary honouring of the country’s pioneering personalities for their historic role in serving faith, homeland and the people, wishing His Majesty a long life in constant good health and wellbeing in the interest of faith, the nation and its citizens.
