MoW celebrates National Action Charter anniversary

Manama, Feb. 13 (BNA): Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Minister Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, on the 17th anniversary of the National Action Charter.

The ministry today celebrates the National Action Charter’s anniversary which is considered an advanced step in the nation’s political modernization journey; indicating citizens’ loyalty to the Leadership, with a massive 98, 4% national consensus, according to the minister.

"On this same day in 2001, His Majesty the King expressed pride at the Bahraini citizens’ blessing to the declaration of Bahrain as a Constitutional Kingdom, together with the initiation of approaches to enhance democracy and create a better future for Bahrain, said the minister adding that "since His Majesty the King’s Accession in 1999, His Majesty declared transparency as a policy and a way of governance, which was further emphasized through HM the King’s visits and meetings with the people of Bahrain in all areas and Governorates."

"Supporting the National Action principles of building a better future for Bahrain, the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning (MoW) has always contributed to developing infrastructure in the Kingdom through the roads, sanitary and construction sectors, all of which accommodate citizens’ and residents’ needs in line with the latest global standards," affirmed the minister.
